Air New Zealand Airpoints programme and Farmlands join forces

Air New Zealand's Airpoints programme has teamed up with New Zealand's largest farmer owned co-operative Farmlands, offering its shareholders the opportunity to get off the land and into the air, by earning Airpoints Dollars™ on their farm purchases.

From 1 November, Farmlands’ shareholder base of more than 58,000 farmers can choose to earn Airpoints Dollars on eligible seed, nutrition, fertiliser and retail purchases and the commission paid on livestock and real estate purchases.

Air New Zealand General Manager Customer Value Hamish Rumbold says the airline is continually looking to add value through its loyalty programme and the partnership provides an exciting opportunity for rural New Zealand.

“Farmlands shareholders will have the ability to significantly add to their Airpoints Dollars balance from their farming purchases. This will have them taking their next flight using Airpoints Dollars a lot faster.”

Farmlands Chief Executive Brent Esler says Farmlands members can opt to earn either Airpoints Dollars or existing Farmlands Choices Rewards Points.

“We have a very loyal shareholding of hard working farmers. The addition of Airpoints to our loyalty programme allows them to choose rewards that are truly valued by them - be it an overseas trip for the family, home cinema or case of wine.”

Airpoints Dollars can be redeemed on a wide range of travel products and services including flights, Koru memberships and rental cars, and other great products through the Airpoints™ store and Air New Zealand wine store.
