Top surfers from around the world flock to O'ahu for the prestigious Eddie Aikau Big Wave Invitational – held for the first time in seven years. When he doesn't receive an invitation, Garrett reflects deeply on his life and surfing.

Following The Eddie, the McNamaras move to Montaldo, Italy for a fresh start. But just as Garrett begins to slow down, he struggles to resist a perfect swell off the coast of Morocco. Later, when a new swell is forecasted at Mavericks, Garrett grapples with whether to chase the waves once more.
