Fiji Flippers Terms & Conditions

  1. Information on how to enter the competition forms part of the conditions of entry. Entry into the promotion is deemed as acceptance of its terms and conditions.

  2. Entry is only open to New Zealand residents aged 18 years or over ("Eligible Persons").

  3. Air New Zealand Limited (the "Promoter") and Tourism Fiji, their employees and their immediate families, participating agents and their associated agencies are ineligible to enter. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries.

  4. Conditions of entry:
    How to enter:
    To enter, an Eligible Person must complete the game and follow the prompts to enter their details. This will give the Eligible person one entry into each of the First Prize Pool and Second Prize Pool draw. Where the Eligible Person completes their entry and shares the game on their Facebook page, they will receive an additional entry into each prize pool.

  5. Promotion commences 12:01am Wednesday 22 June 2022 and closes 11:59pm Sunday 10 July 2022 (the "Promotional Period"). Entries received after this closing time will be ineligible for entry.

  6. Entries are limited to one entry per Eligible Person, per day. Otherwise there is no limit to the number of entries per Eligible Person, provided all conditions of entry are met.

  7.  On 15th July 2022:

    First Prize Pool
    a) Nineteen (19) winners will be randomly selected from the First Prize Pool and will win their choice of either;

    1. 200 Airpoints Dollars™ ;
    2. A Pure Fiji Jewel Pack

    Eligible Persons can win a maximum of one prize from the First Prize Pool each.

    Second Prize Pool
    (b) One (1) winner will be randomly selected from the Second Prize Pool and will win:

    1. Return 'The Works' airfares for two (2) people (travelling together) from any Air New Zealand serviced domestic airport to Nadi, Fiji flying Air New Zealand

    2. Four nights accommodation. Accommodation will be twin share at a four star resort determined by Tourism Fiji. Location of accommodation will be determined based on the three experiences selected by the winner in the Fiji Flippers game

    3. Three experiences as chosen by the winner during their winning play of the Fiji Flippers game 

    4. Airport and accommodation transfers in Fiji

    5. If it is logistically impossible to organise all experiences (due to different locations) Tourism Fiji will work with the prize winner to provide an alternative experience.

  8. Attempts will be made to notify the winner(s) by phone or email at the contact telephone number(s) or email address(es) provided at the time of the promotion entry. If the Promoter, having used reasonable efforts, are unable to contact the winner(s) prior to Friday 22 July 2022, then the prize is forfeited and a further draw(s) will be conducted. The judge's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered in to.

  9. It may take up to 10 working days for the Airpoints Dollars to be reflected in the Airpoints™ accounts once the winners have been contacted. The winners will need to be existing Airpoints members or will need to sign up to the Airpoints programme to be eligible for the daily prize.

  10. The winner is responsible for all costs associated with the prize that are not specifically included in the prize (as stated in this clause 7), including (where applicable) transport, meal costs, spending money, insurance and all other incidentals. The winner is also responsible for all necessary travel documents, including valid travel identification and travel insurance.

  11. Flights must be booked a minimum of 30 days prior to travel and is subject to booking and flight availability. Travel, stay and experiences will need to be completed before the 31 March 2023. Travel during New Zealand and Fiji public holidays, school holidays, or large events, is not permitted.

  12. The prize cannot be converted into cash and is not transferable, refundable, exchangeable, or replaceable. The prize cannot be used to purchase gift certificates or lay-buys nor can be re-sold on auction websites, classifieds, or by other method of re-sale. The prize cannot be used for any other promotions/competitions.

  13. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in prize value.

  14. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize in whole (or any of its components), with a substitute prize of equal or greater value.

  15. Travel is not permitted to commence from any origin point outside of New Zealand. Stopovers or stopovers within transit are not permitted.

  16. In the event that for any reason whatsoever the prize winner does not take an element of the prize at the time agreed by the Promoter then that element of the prize will be forfeited by that prize winner and cash will not be awarded in lieu of that element of the prize.

  17. Once the prize has been arranged by the Promoter, changes to the travel, accommodation and other prize arrangements must be made by and are at the expense of the prize winner.

  18. Prize winner and their guest are responsible for all visa, quarantine and customs requirements for travel.

  19. All prize travel will be subject to Air New Zealand's conditions of carriage. Prize travel will not be eligible to accrue Airpoints Dollars or Status Points and cannot be used in conjunction with Air New Zealand's Airpoints programme or any other carriers' frequent flyer schemes.

  20. The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to or alteration of entries. The Promoter assume no responsibility for any injury or damage to participants or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation in or downloading any materials in this promotion.

  21. Neither the Promoter nor any other person or party associated with this promotion, including Tourism Fiji, shall be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with either participation in this promotion or with any prizes offered.

  22. The Promoter collects entrants' personal information in order to conduct the promotion. If the information requested is not provided, the entrant may not participate in the promotion. Please refer to Air New Zealand's Privacy Statement at regarding the collection, use, disclosure and storage of personal information.
