    Air New Zealand's Flexitime Flyer membership is a 12 month trial on sale for a limited time. With Flexitime Flyer, you get the benefits of Flexitime for the price of a Seat fare, when you fly within New Zealand.

  2. What is Flexitime?

    Flexitime
    is Air New Zealand's domestic fare product that allows you to change your flight on the day of travel to an earlier or later flight on the same day only, at no extra cost.

    It also includes a 23 kg checked bag, and standard Seat select.

  3. Why is Flexitime Flyer membership a limited time offer?

    Flexitime Flyer membership is a limited time offer as it is a trial.

  4. What does Flexitime Flyer membership trial mean?

    The trial means that Flexitime Flyer membership is a trial product only and may not be available for purchase in the future. Rest assured, if you purchase a membership, the benefits will be available to you for the full membership term or you may become entitled to a refund in the unlikely event that the product is withdrawn.

  5. When is the Flexitime Flyer membership offer available till?

    Air New Zealand reserves the right, at its discretion, to modify, suspend, withdraw or terminate the whole or any part of the Flexitime Flyer membership at any time. Please refer to the full terms and conditions for more details.

  6. Who can make a booking using my Flexitime Flyer membership?

    Flexitime Flyer membership can only be used for bookings under the name of the member. For the trial period, only one passenger per booking is allowed.

  7. What are expectations of joining the Flexitime Flyer trial?

    By joining the trial, you get the benefits of the Flexitime at the price of a Seat fare. We will send you surveys through the year to get your feedback on our offering.

  8. How is Flexitime different from Flexiplus?

    Flexiplus is Air New Zealand's domestic fare product that allows you to change your flight's day, time, destination or origin, if seats are available. There is no charge if you change online, however a fare difference may apply. Flexiplus allows two checked-in bags, standard seat select, and cancellation is fully refundable with no refund fee payable if you cancel before departure.

    Flexitime only allows free change on the day of travel to another flight on the same day. See Q2) for further details.

The terms

  1. How long is the Flexitime Flyer membership valid for?

    Membership will be activated on the Date of Purchase and will remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from and including the Date of Purchase.

  2. What are the booking terms of the Flexitime Flyer membership?

    You can use your Flexitime Flyer membership to book flights within the membership period for travel both within and outside the membership period, i.e. you can book flights with travel dates past your membership period provided you book while your membership is still valid.

  3. Is there a limit to the number of people you can book under the Flexitime Flyer membership?

    There is a limit of one adult passenger per booking under the Flexitime Flyer membership. This means that a separate booking will need to be made for any adult, infant or child passengers who may be travelling with you (even if they are also a Member).

  4. What are Flexitime Flyer qualifying flights?

    A qualifying flight is a domestic flight on an Air New Zealand operated service that originates from and departs to an Airport within New Zealand offering the Flexitime fare product.

  5. What bookings do not qualify for the Flexitime Flyer membership discount?

    Domestic flight sectors that are booked as part of an international journey are not included, nor are tickets issued for charter flights; travel industry-rebated tickets; tickets acquired at auction; discounted tickets or fares subject to another promo code or tickets not issued in your name.

  6. Can I gift someone a Flexitime Flyer membership?

    At this point, you can only purchase the membership for yourself.

  7. Is the Flexitime Flyer membership offer price subject to change?

    The Fee may be subject to change during the trial, once the current offer expires.

  8. How will my Flexitime Flyer membership impact on my Airpoints or Airpoints for Business accruals?

    Members will earn Airpoints and Status points on Qualifying Flights in accordance with the Flexitime & Airpoints for business rules, available here and the Air New Zealand Airpoints™ terms & conditions, available here.

  9. Is the Flexitime Flyer membership refundable or transferable?

    The Fee paid for your membership is non-refundable and non-transferable.

    Membership is personal to the Member and is not transferable to any other person. Membership cannot be sold, transferred or assigned to anyone else nor used to purchase flights for persons other than the Member. The Flexitime Flyer membership cannot be purchased as a gift for another person.

Using my Flexitime Flyer membership

  1. How do I book a flight using my Flexitime Flyer membership?

    To access the discounted Flexitime fare, you must log in to your myairnz account via www.myairnz.co.nz or www.airnewzealand.co.nz.

    Your Benefits will only be applied if you are logged in to your myairnz account when booking your Qualifying Flights.

  2. Can I use my Flexitime Flyer membership offer to book via the contact centre?

    No, this is an online only product. In the event of website outage, you can call the contact centre for assistance. Standard fees may apply.

  3. Can I use my Flexitime Flyer membership offer to book through my travel agents?

    The offer is only available for bookings online.

  4. Do the membership benefits apply to existing flight bookings?

    The Flexitime Flyer membership benefits apply to flight bookings made within the membership period, which is 12 months from the date of the Flexitime Flyer membership purchase.

    Any flights booked prior to becoming a member will not be eligible for the Flexitime Flyer membership benefits.

  5. Can I pay for my flights using Airpoints Dollars™ under the Flexitime Flyer membership?

    Yes, like standard flight purchases, Airpoints Dollars™ can be used for flight purchases made using the Flexitime Flyer membership.

  6. Do the membership benefits apply for grabaseat™ bookings?

    Yes, the Flexitime Flyer membership benefits apply to bookings on grabaseat™ fares. Remember to ensure that you’re signed in using your Airpoints™ number to get the benefits of Flexitime Flyer membership when making a flight booking.

  7. Does the Flexitime Flyer membership affect my standard baggage allowances?

    No, it does not affect your baggage allowances; standard baggage conditions apply. The Flexitime offering includes a 23kg checked bag.

    If you are a Koru member, you still receive one extra piece of checked baggage (up to 23kg) on top of your Flexitime baggage allowance.

One passenger per booking limit

Paying with a UATP Travelcard

  1. Why can't I use my UATP Travelcard as a form of payment?

    If you are enrolled into the Airpoints for Business program and select the flight as 'business', you cannot pay for travel using the travel card (UATP).

    As per the Airpoints for Business Programme terms and conditions, this method of payment will not be available to you when making a flight booking, regardless of whether you are a Flexitime Flyer member or not.
