OneSmart Account terms and conditions changes

Some changes are being made to the OneSmart Account terms and conditions and these will be effective as at 21 May 2013.

A summary of the changes are set out below:

  1. Introduction of a Virtual Card option for cardholders to access their OneSmart Account, and the terms and conditions relating to use
  2. Introduction of a Secondary Card option for cardholders to access their OneSmart Account, and the terms and conditions relating to use, which is intended to be introduced at a later date
  3. Explanation and differences of use between the Physical Cards and a Virtual Card
  4. Clarifying that the OneSmart Account Centre is the secure website that cardholders log on to in order to manage their OneSmart Account, versus the OneSmart Website which is the Air New Zealand hosted, publically available website with information about OneSmart
  5. A definition of Auto Wallet Transfer and an explanation of when this will apply
  6. A definition of a Mobile Portal application, which is intended to be introduced at a later date
  7. Old section 2.2 (Overseas use): Change in section title to ‘Moving overseas’, to clarify that this section relates to residing overseas, rather than using your OneSmart Account overseas. Clarification as to what you can do with your OneSmart Account and Cards if you do move overseas
  8. Updating section 4.2 on fees and charges
  9. Section 5.2 (How to protect your Card(s), PIN(s) and password): Aligned with the Code of Banking Practice 2012
  10. Section 5.4(b) (Unsupported Currency transactions): Clarification of how the currency conversion fee will show on a cardholder’s online transaction history
  11. Section 5.9 (Transaction and load limits): Introduction of a higher maximum balance limit of NZD $75,000 available on application for cardholders identified in person and subject to BNZ's applicable criteria being met
  12. Section 8.2 (Your liability for unauthorised transactions): Explanation of the limitations on BNZ’s liability to you
  13. Section 9 (Privacy and information collection): Introduction of a new clause pertaining to information collected for the Anti Money Laundering and Countering of Terrorism Financing Act 2009, which comes into law from 30 June 2013
  14. Section 10.3 (Change of personal details): Clarification that your personal details can be amended via your signed in Air New Zealand account
  15. Other minor changes
