The BRIT Awards 2018 with Mastercard® terms and conditions

  1. Information on how to enter the competition forms part of the conditions of entry. Entry into the promotion is deemed as acceptance of its terms and conditions.

  2. Entry is only open to New Zealand residents aged 18 years or over, who are current Air New Zealand Airpoints™ members and either hold an Airpoints card with OneSmart™ functionality and/or have a OneSmart Account.

  3. Conditions of Entry:
    How to Enter:
    An eligible participant will automatically receive one entry into the Promotion for every NZD $100 equivalent spent overseas (in a single or multiple transaction) with an overseas merchant using their OneSmart Account on eligible transactions that are initiated and settled within the Promotional Period. Eligible transactions include both card-present and card-not-present transactions (including internet and phone orders). Eligible transactions do not include money orders, traveller's cheques, gambling chips, adult entertainment, when loading funds to your OneSmart card, transferring funds to another currency balance or another member's OneSmart card or when withdrawing funds from ATMs or cashing out your OneSmart card balance. Purchases that are reversed, refunded or charged-back are also ineligible.

  4. If you do not wish to participate in the Promotion, please send a request to requesting your name be excluded from the Promotion before the close of the Promotional Period.

  5. There is no limit to the number of entries per eligible participant, provided all conditions of entry are met.

  6. Air New Zealand (the "Promoter"), its employees and their immediate families, participating agents and their associated agencies are ineligible to enter. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries.

  7. Promotion commences on 27 November 2017 at 12:01am and closes on 14 January 2018 at 11:59pm (the "Promotional Period"). Transactions completed after this closing time will be ineligible for entry.

  8. The winner will be randomly drawn from one prize pool on 22 January 2018. Attempts will be made to notify the winner by phone at the contact telephone number provided on their Airpoints account. If the Promoter, having used reasonable efforts, is unable to contact the winner prior to 29 January 2018, then the prize is forfeited and a further draw(s) will be conducted. The judge's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

  9. The first valid entry drawn will win the Mastercard prize of return business class airfares from Auckland to Heathrow, London, flying Air New Zealand for two (departing 17 February 2018 and returning 23 February 2018), tickets to The BRIT Awards 2018 including a VIP pre-reception dinner and the official after party, four nights' twin share accommodation for two in London including transfers to and from Heathrow, two dinners, including one dinner at a Michelin star restaurant, a tour of London, a private shopping experience with a celebrity stylist and USD $500 or equivalent spending money. If the winner resides outside Auckland, they will also receive connecting flights from their nearest Air New Zealand domestic airport. If we are unable to facilitate a connection through to London or back to the origin airport in one day we will provide an overnight stay in a hotel of our choosing at Auckland airport. The winner is responsible for paying all additional costs associated with the prize that are not specifically included (as stated in this clause 9), including (where applicable) transport, meal costs, spending money, insurance and all other incidentals.

  10. Prize must be taken by specified in clause 9 and may not be transferred.

  11. The prize cannot be converted into cash and is not transferable.

  12. The retail value of the prize (excluding domestic flights, if any) is USD $32,530, calculated as at 30 October 2017. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in prize value.

  13. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize in whole (or any of its components), with a substitute prize of equal or greater value.

  14. All prize travel will be subject to Air New Zealand's conditions of carriage. Prize travel will not be eligible to accrue Airpoints Dollars™ or Status Points and cannot be used in conjunction with Air New Zealand's Airpoints programme or any other carriers' frequent flyer schemes.

  15. The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to or alteration of entries. The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any injury or damage to participants or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation in, or downloading any materials in, this promotion.

  16. Neither the Promoter nor any other person or party associated with this promotion shall be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with either participation in this promotion or with any prizes offered.
