Air New Zealand’s “Favourite Places” campaign takes off

Air New Zealand is stepping up its “Favourite Places” campaign with the launch of a TVC celebrating the reach of Air New Zealand’s comprehensive domestic network.

The advertisement features sporting celebrities and Air New Zealand ambassadors Dan Carter, Mahe Drysdale and Valerie Adams sharing their favourite New Zealand locations.

Air New Zealand Group General Manager New Zealand and Pacific Islands Louise Struthers says the frequency and volume of flights across the airline’s domestic network is one of Air New Zealand’s key strengths.

“Each of our ambassadors has their own special place within New Zealand that they enjoy returning to; tapping into this personalises the message and illustrates the breadth of connectivity Air New Zealand offers its customers.”

Mahe Drysdale selected Queenstown as his favourite place, while Valerie Adams picked Rotorua and Dan Carter shared his favourite Taupo fishing spot.

FCB Executive Creative Director Tony Clewett says Kiwis have a strong connection with local heroes like Mahe, Dan and Valerie and having them share their favourite places around New Zealand offers special insight.

The newest TVC reaffirms Air New Zealand’s commitment to regional New Zealand and also includes social media, where Air New Zealand Facebook fans are encouraged to share their favourite places to be.
