Air New Zealand congratulates Taranaki with cheap seats
Taranaki has been ranked as the number two region in Lonely Planet's ‘Best in Travel' guidebooks' top 10 - a list of regions, cities and countries picked as 2017's must see destinations by Lonely Planet's team of travel experts.
Air New Zealand has a long and proud history of flying to New Plymouth, the gateway to the Taranaki region, and is this morning offering a range of deals from as little as $39 one-way.
Air New Zealand Regional Affairs Manager Ian Collier says that having Lonely Planet endorse Taranaki as a must see destination will be a great boost to inbound tourism whether it's overseas visitors or Kiwis wanting to explore their own backyard.
"New Plymouth is a key destination on Air New Zealand's domestic network and in recent years we've increased the number of seats we offer on this route and lowered lead-in fares making it more accessible than ever before," Mr Collier says.
"It's hugely exciting to see Taranaki's stunning natural landscape and attractions recognised by what is considered by many as a travel bible and the region is certainly well placed to benefit from the increased visitation likely to result."
