Air New Zealand safety video picks up global award
The airline also received the accolade for Best Original Audio – which recognises outstanding audio content onboard, and the award for Best Inflight Connectivity Innovation following the launch of its inflight Wi-Fi product.
Air New Zealand General Manager Global Brand and Content Marketing Jodi Williams says the airline is delighted to be recognised for the World's Coolest Safety Video.
"We know our safety videos are loved worldwide, having attracted more than 157 million views online to date. We look forward to sharing our next safety video later in the year which we've been filming over the past week – featuring a cast of around 500 from community groups across New Zealand, along with Kiwi actor Julian Dennison, and local musicians Kings, Theia and Randa."
Air New Zealand was also one of 25 airlines to receive the prestigious APEX Five Star Global Rating at the awards – the airline industry's first rating programme based solely on verified passenger feedback.
More than one million flights were rated by passengers across nearly 500 airlines from around the world between July 2017 and the end of June 2018 based on their flight experience, seat comfort, cabin service, food and beverage, entertainment and Wi-Fi.
