We want our customers to be able to book domestic travel with confidence, knowing that should their circumstances change, they have the following booking flexibility options.

Click here to check flight availability and book now.

Booking changes

Customers with domestic flights currently scheduled to depart before 11:59pm on Wednesday, 16 September, are able to move to another service of the same routing, free of charge. New flights must also depart by 16 September 2020.

For domestic bookings currently scheduled to depart between Thursday, 17 September 2020 and Wednesday, 31 March 2021, the standard change fee will be waived. Any difference in fare, however, will be payable.

To check flight availability and make a change, visit our Manage Booking tool. For bookings made via a travel agent, please contact them directly to discuss your rebooking options.

Opting to hold your booking in credit

If you hold a ticket for any domestic flight, scheduled to depart before 11:59pm on Wednesday, 31 March 2021, you may opt to hold the unused value of your booking in credit.

For bookings made directly with Air New Zealand, you can easily hold your booking in credit via our Manage Booking tool.

If your flights were booked using a travel agent, including online booking agents such as Webjet or Expedia, please reach out to them directly to request your credit.

Customers who opt to have their bookings placed into credit prior to 31 March 2021 will have until 31 December 2021 to rebook, with the ability to select flights up to 350 days further forward.
