If you like flying with all the perks, then our Works Deluxe option is for you.
You’ll enjoy Premium check-in, priority baggage with 2 checked-in bags (up to 23kg each), a carry-on bag (up to 7kg) and access to our award winning lounges before your flight. In the air, you'll be seated at the front of the economy cabin with more personal space - great if you want to work or stretch out. If you're travelling on our larger 777-300 aircraft you'll be seated in our Premium Economy cabin!
Inflight entertainment without the interruptions
During your flight, you’ll be entertained with movies, games, music and TV shows through our gate-to-gate, seat-back entertainment. Please note that if you are flying on a Virgin Australia operated flight, a Wireless In-flight Entertainment that streams content to your own portable device onboard is used. To use this service you'll need to download and activate Virgin Australia’s In-flight Entertainment app for iPhone and iPod touch, iPad or Android device prior to travel.
Alternatively, Virgin Australia has a limited number of In-flight Entertainment Tablets available on selected flights for use by eligible guests. On some flights you can use the Tablet to access Wireless In-flight Entertainment; on others, the Tablet offers a pre-loaded selection of movies, TV shows and music.

Make a meal of it
With the Works Deluxe option, you will receive full meal and beverage options plus an addtional treat, bottle of mineral water, newspaper and premium headphones. After you’ve enjoyed your meal, you have the choice of ordering extra drinks free of charge during your flight. When you book your flight you are able to request a vegetarian or gluten intolerant meal. If you’re travelling with kids, you can request a Kids Meal at the time of booking, which comes with an activity pack on Air New Zealand operated flights only. Please note that if a special meal is not requested when making your booking a standard meal will be provided.
Works Deluxe will be our top product choice on our A320 aircraft. If you’re flying on our 767 or 777 aircraft, Business Class is also available, in addition to Works Deluxe.
For further details on your food options onboard, please check out our information on Eating and Drinking on trans-Tasman & Island flights.

Works Deluxe is not available on flights to Honolulu when we operate a 777-200 aircraft which features a Premium Economy cabin and a Business Premier cabin with a lie flat bed. When operating a 767 Works Deluxe is available along with Business Class.
Please note that inflight entertainment and meals are not available on Air New Zealand domestic services and selected Virgin Australia services.
