Board The Red Boats ferry to Motuihe for a relaxing morning in Auckland's stunning outdoors! Just a 1 hour 20 minute ferry ride from downtown Auckland, there is a natural oasis waiting to be explored.
Discover the white sandy beaches, native birds, plant life, and crystal-clear waters that are safe for swimming. There is plenty of free time to walk the island’s peaceful trails at your leisure. Fantastic Day Trip! Thank you The Red Boats team
My nine years old daughter and her friend had a blast! swimming at the Ocean beach, We went for a quick walk check out the Island. Beach is just stunning. Thank you The Red boats team they are super friendly, three volenteer ladies at kiosk are friendly too! We will definitely return :)

Amazing Motuihe trip
The entire experience was amazing. Red boat staff was very friendly & good natured. It was smooth sailing.They even have a small cafe onboard for drinks and coffee. The hostess was very jovial. The Motuihe island is highly underrated. It out of this world with beautiful ocean on either side. Information centre turns into a cute Ice cream parlor with happy hosts. One can play cricket and many other games which are kept in a basket. Clean toilets and water taps outside. The beach is very clean and it's amazing to go I the water. I would definitely plan a night camping there soon. Amazing !

Pleasant family day out
Great way to spend a day at Motuihe Island. Pleasant, relaxed boat trip on the Red Boat to the island. A brief explanation of the islands we were passing and/or brief history of the area would have been interesting however. The island itself is beautiful, natural with gorgeous beaches. We were very lucky to have beautiful weather. Would recommend and will return to do some more of the walks and appreciate the beaches.

Great Experience
The ferry experience was very pleasant. Loved it. Island is so beautiful. Good for a whole day trip. Nice beaches. Only thing is I wish the ferry back from the Island to Auckland left at 4 pm instead of 3 pm during summer.

Great day on the island with the red boat
It was a nice trip to the island for a good price and friendly staff.
