Set in the stunning Wooroonooran National Park, Behana Gorge offers the perfect balance of challenge and beauty. Climb, slide, and splash through crystal-clear waters as your experienced guide tailors the course to suit your group’s comfort and skill level.

Whether you're chasing adrenaline or simply looking to try something new, this supportive and flexible experience invites you to embrace adventure at your own pace—all while surrounded by some of Tropical North Queensland’s most breathtaking natural scenery.

Restrictions

  • Minimum age: 8

  • Pregnancy: Strongly not recommended during any stage of your pregnancy.

    Fitness Levels: We accept your challenge to cater to everyones pace, size & ability.

    Swimming Levels: Guests need to have a very basic level of confidence to manovere in the water.

    Medical Conditions: Please advise diet requirements, allergies, surgeries, impairments, or disabilities that may affect your level of enjoyment on the day & so we can best cater to you if needed.

    Child Friendly: Guests 8-11 years old must be booked directly with Cairns Canyoning onto Behana Canyon (available 12pm departure). Guests 8-16 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Guests under 18 years old must have a parent or guardians signature on the waiver forms.

Notes

  • Please Note: This tour is subject to a minimum of 4 guests in order to guarantee its departure. In the unlikely event we need to cancel or reschedule due to weather or minimum numbers, you will be contacted by 6pm the day before. For this tour you will be booked into either Crystal Canyon or Behana Canyon experience based on numbers, weather, availability, and we are not able to guarantee locations until the minimum numbers have been met.

    Cancellation: Customers will receive a full refund or credit with 72 hours' notice of cancellation. If less than 72 hours prior to departure, no refund will be issued unless you have a covid isolation or test results notice. No-shows will be charged the full price.

Best experience - even for the locals!

As locals we’ve been to Behana Gorge multiple times but this canyoning tour was the best experience we’ve had by far. Instead of just swimming in the pool we were in the waterfalls, cliffs jumping and abseiling down. Thank you to our guide for making this experience so welcoming, fun and enjoyable.

What a Day!!

We did the 12pm tour and the weather was perfect. Thanks to the gear provided, the water wasn’t too cold. Spencer, our guide, was the best. We were a group of 4 and it really was “choose your own adventure”. If you wanted to do the Jump, abseil or slide you could - if you didn’t, there was options. I was definitely out of my comfort zone but had the best day.
