We start the tour with a tea or coffee and a snack. After a safety briefing we head off to catch some live bait using the cast net. We also have a supply of bait at the office for when the live bait is in short supply!
Next we're off to our first fishing spot, our experienced guides pick the best location on the day depending on tides, weather conditions and time of year.
There is an abundance of species in the Cairns inlet and depending on time of year we would target species like Barramundi, Mangrove Jack, Grunter, Bream, Queenfish, Fingermark, Threadfin Salmon and Trevally.
Cairns inlet is one of the most picturesque areas in Queensland. We regularly see a variety of animals including Crocodiles, White Crested Sea Eagles, Wedge tail Kites and the Jabiru or Black necked Stork which we have a mating pair in the area.
Customers will have the latest fishing rods and equipment supplied along with all bait. There is a flush toilet on board and ample seating and standing room to cater for up to 20 passengers on board. We also have wheelchair access on the vessel.
Departure times - 7:30am and 1pm - check in 15 minutes prior to departure
Departs from B finger in the Cairns marina - Look for the NQ Watersports floating office.

Calm water fishing
Had a great day with these guys . Looked after us all very well with some great food and drinks on the vessel. Even managed to catch a few fish on a very hot afternoon. Highly recommended
