This region, risk in bio-diversity, offers stunning beaches and ancient rainforest that extend to the waters edge, fringing reefs, beautiful animal and plant life, rock pools, mangrove board walks and a backdrop of magnificent rugged mountains

Your tour begins with your friendly local guide picking you up from your accommodation in Cairns in the comfort of a modern vehicle, before driving along one of the most spectacular coastal roads in Australia to the resort village of Port Douglas. After a short highlights tour and further passenger pick ups we're on our way to the Daintree

Stopping at the Daintree River for a provided morning tea, we then embarking on a one hour Daintree river cruise to spot wildlife including birds, snakes, frogs, flying foxes and crocodiles. Have your cameras ready!

After the cruise, we travel to the spectacular Alexander Range Lookout before arriving at our private lunch location at The Daintree Entomological (insect) Museum, the largest of its kind in Australia, for a 20 minute guided tour. Here we enjoy Gourmet Burger's, Wraps and Focciacas served with side orders in the surrounds of a small wildlife sanctuary where you will interact with and learn about some cute Australian native wildlife.

After Lunch, you travel further north to the isolated Cape Tribulation where you can take a stroll along the beach's coral sands. This is the only place on Earth where two World Heritage listed areas meet. There is time to visit the Cape Tribulation lookout before departing for a relaxing and informative guided walk through the Cape Tribulation National Park. After the walk, We will have afternoon tea before boarding our air-conditioned vehicle to traverse the Alexander Range, back to the Daintree river and across the Cable Barge, and enjoy a leisurely drive to Cairns with spectacular views of the Coral Sea

Völlig okay für den Preis

Für den Preis war der Trip völlig okay. Bootstour leider ohne jegliche Sichtungen von Vögeln, Krokodilen, Schlangen, o.ä. Aber der Führer hat sich Mühe gegeben Infos zu vermitteln. Stop und Schwimmen im Fluss mit Barbecue war super, da kaum Gäste dort waren. Essen war auch lecker. Regenwald war super, man hatte nur leider wenig Zeit in Ruhe zu gucken. Unser Fahrer hat allerdings einen super Job gemacht!! Er wusste viel zu erzählen und hat auf dem Rückweg sogar extra nochmal angehalten, da er ein Krokodil von der Straße aus gesehen hatte. Alles in allem okay. Aber kein Highlight für mich persönlich.

Enttäuschung pur

Tour wurde per Email gecancelled, 30min nach dem eigentlichen Abholtermin. Habe den Tag zuvor noch mit dem Anbieter telefoniert und er hat mir versichert, dass die Tour stattfindet. Das Büro in Lake Street gibt es nicht mehr und telefonisch erreicht man auch schwer jemanden. Mitarbeiter aus anderen Reisebüros haben erzählt, dass das des öfteren vorkommt. Einfach traurig, so konnte ich den Daintree nicht mehr besuchen, da ich am nächsten Tag schon weiter reisen musste. Unzuverlässig - besser nicht buchen.

Netter Ausflug

Wir hatten einen schönen Tag. Leider haben wir keine Krokodile gesehen, da sie zu dieser warmen Jahreszeit hauptsächlich unter Wasser sind. Das Insektenmuseum ist nett und sicher spannend, wenn man einen Fable dafür hat. Das Mittagessen war wirklich lecker. Der Bus ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommenen, aber der Guide war freundlich und wirklich bemüht - für den Preis ein netter Ausflug.

Viel busfahren und hop in hop off

Also unser guide,alfred war supernett und hat viel erzählt. Er wusste so viel!!! Es waren aber großteils ältere leute unterwegs deswegen würde ich backpackern eher eine andere tour empfehlen. Auch das insektenmuseum fand ich nicht sonderlich sehenswert.
