Get involved in this white water adrenaline rush! Small groups (maximum 12) and 4 participants to 1 guide ratio makes for a safe and thrilling experience

Departing Cairns at early morning (pick-ups between 5.30 and 6am) this trip really makes the most of the day, arriving on the Tully river rearing to go. The tour starts with a safety swimming lesson, all participants must complete the safety swim through a grade 2 rapid to able to partake in the day, safety first!

Trip includes:

  • Pick up / drop off from Cairns city accommodation
  • Morning tea
  • Use of a world-class white water river board, The Fluid-Anvil
  • Safety gear including life jacket, helmet, knee and shin guards, wetsuit pants and fins
  • Rapid swimming training, including safety guidelines and board maneuvering
  • Up to 4.5 hours of white water action
  • Lunch
  • An action packed day you will never forget!

What to bring:

  • Swimming costume and shirt for water use Towel

Being a water based adventure activity, there are some requirements needing fulfilled: You must be a confident swimmer, have a medium level of fitness and a comprehensive understanding of English.

River boarding is a physically demanding white water adventure. For your own protection, there are a number of compulsory requirements for individuals wishing to participate in this day tour.

All participants have to complete water confidence training, which will involve swimming a grade 2 rapid prior to the boarding tour. If unable to complete the training for whatever reason, individuals will not be able to participate in the boarding tour.

Every participant must sign a liability release form prior to commencing boarding or swim training. Passengers under the age of 18 years must have a parent or guardian sign on their behalf.

Please note that some medical conditions, impairments or disabilities may exclude participants from boarding for safety reasons (eg pregnancy). Participants should disclose any medical conditions (including food allergies) when booking

To participate in a Rapid Boarders day tour adventure you MUST be able to answer YES to the below statements:

  • I am a confident swimmer
  • I am medically and physically fit
  • I will have my A-game on, that means no drugs or alcohol
  • I can understand basic English instructions

Price: $200 +$35 levy payable on arrival

$35 levy is payable on arrival direct to Rapid Boarders and is not included in the price below

Minimum age 16 years, participants aged under 18 years must be accompanied by a parent/guardian present and able to sign liability release form on their behalf
