Get onboard with Foaming Fury for an exciting half day white water rafting experience on the Barron River! We head to the grade 2-3 rapids of the Barron River and on to Lake Placid which is situated in the stunning Barron Gorge National Park, only a short 20 minute drive from Cairns
Tackle the ebb and flow of the Barron River, as it snakes its way down from the mountains out to the Coral Sea. This is a scenic rafting and rainforest adventure, combining calm water floating with a series of white water rapids for adventure and action
This tour is a great introduction to White Water Rafting. It’s fun, exciting and exhilarating, suitable for all ages 12 years and over
Tour includes
- 2 hours White Water Rafting on up to grade 3 rapids
- All tuition and safety equipment
- Professional and Certified River Guides
- Pick up from your accommodation in Cairns, Northern Beaches or Port Douglas
Optional Extras:
- Shoe hire ($5)

Rafting levy - $30 per person payable direct to the operator on the day
Departures:
- Cairns 2pm, returning by 5.30pm
- Port Douglas 1.15pm, returning by 6.30pm
Minimum age 12 years
Price:
Cairns & Northern Beaches - $108 per person (+ $30 levy - $138 total)
Port Douglas - $128 per person (+ $30 levy - $158 total)
Self Drive - $98 per person (+ $30 levy - $128 total)
$30 per person levy is not included in the price below and is payable on the day of travel

Great time on the Barron River
From the time we were greeted to the time the day was over the staff were friendly, outgoing and entertaining. We always felt safe and supported on the river and all instructions were clear and easy to follow. We had a great time on the Barron River and would highly recommend spending an afternoon rafting with the crew from Foaming Fury. Getting picked up and dropped off at our hotel doorstep was the icing on the cake.

White water rafting on the baron river
A fantastic afternoon, the guide Kyle was really good and fun. Would recommended to anyone even novices. Just make sure you are already changed into your bathers before you go as no changing facilities available. Great experience.
