I took my daughter (7) we were given a double kayak but because she didn't paddle and was super light it made it so much harder as the nose kept lifting and it was a bit stressful crossing the channel and there wasn't much assistance in getting across we also had winds which made it more difficult to navigate and im quite strong and fit. Had i done it by myself i would of enjoyed it a lot more, the walks on the island and the swimming stops afterwards were beautiful, cant fault it and the crew are lovely.
