Must do when in Wanaka

Such a fantastic scenic activity to do when visiting Wanaka. A gorgeous boat ride out on the lake to an island with a lake on it. Easy climb to stunning views. Lots of bird life too. Highly recommended.

Great little adventure

Excellent staff, friendly and knowledgable. Boat trip was relaxing and scenic. The island was magical and well worth a visit - as long as you swim in the lake - which is warmer than Lake Wanaka - and wonderful to swim in. Great to see the friendly Wekas too and enjoy the bird life and the peace the island offers. Only thing for me would be to have a little more time - we had 1.5 hours on the island. It would be a five star rating if we had 2.5 hours on the island for me ...it felt a little rushed.
