Perfect way to spend the morning

We decided to do this trip on the recommendation of someone else that had been to the island. Both Adam and Anna our hosts for the trip were superb and made sure that everyone was well taken care off. The island itself was beautiful with the lake within the island and the scenery as a whole for the journey was stunning. We highly recommend this trip to anyone staying in Wanaka and there is reasonably priced beer and wine for the return trip. Highlight was being able to make the viewpoint for the stunning vista of the lake and the friendly Weka birds that joined us.

A unique experience and lovely day out

Highly recommended! What a special place (a moderate climb up to a lake, on an island, in a lake (Wanaka) on an island South). Tim and MJ were great crew, very knowledgeable. And wonderful views!

Great little adventure

Excellent staff, friendly and knowledgable. Boat trip was relaxing and scenic. The island was magical and well worth a visit - as long as you swim in the lake - which is warmer than Lake Wanaka - and wonderful to swim in. Great to see the friendly Wekas too and enjoy the bird life and the peace the island offers. Only thing for me would be to have a little more time - we had 1.5 hours on the island. It would be a five star rating if we had 2.5 hours on the island for me ...it felt a little rushed.
