Reading other reviews here and on TripAdvisor I thought that trotting and cantering would definitely be included but it wasn't. We were a group of 5 and at least 2 or 3 were very experienced riders (I've owned a.horse back home). But it was a solid 1 hour 45 Min of walking. Single file. No interaction with the customers whatsoever. No stopping for taking photos (of us). If you wanted to talk photos of the scenery you had to do it mid walk, which wasn't a problem for me as a good rider, but the beginners were obviously struggling with that. There was no info about the mountains, the farm or any other interesting facts the place. I've done many many horse treks in New Zealand and around the world. And it's usually always a mixed ability group but usually they can cater for everyone. One guide stays with the group (of beginners) and the other guide takes the confident riders for a bit of a trot or canter. This did not happen! I'm very upset that I spend so much money ($342 for 3 of us) on a trek that I could've done by foot. And then it didn't even take the promised 2hrs... Imagine... When trotting or cantering was included we would've make it back in even less... That's false advertising.. And as a Queenstown local I'm very disappointed and will not recommended this to any of my friends and family visiting..
