Bathe away all the cares in the world amongst natural surroundings at the iconic Taupo DeBretts Hot Springs & Water Park. Enjoy two large outdoor pools complete with inviting waterfall, lush landscaping and bubbling hydrotherapy spots to work those tired muscles. Rest easy on our popular Water Air-Bed, whilst absorbing the New Zealand native surroundings of Onekeneke Valley.
Take a break in one of indoor private pools and enjoy a soak in absolute seclusion in various soothing temperatures. Cool off in our fresh-water chlorinated pool or two spa pools. The perfect spot for a good old game of Marco Polo. The little ones will get a thrill out of our Interactive Warm Water Playground, equipped with a slide, spinning wheels, a water mushroom and a wicked tipping bucket!
To add more thrills, you might want to zoom down one of two heated Racing Hydro Slides. Choose from the translucent Blue Crush or Gold Rush, both offering twisty turns at the same distance. Taupo DeBretts Hot Springs benefits all age’s groups, whether it be for relaxation, therapeutic purposes or just plain fun, feel the experience for yourself.

A Fantastic Family Day at Taupō DeBretts Waterpark
We visited the waterpark at Taupō DeBretts Hot Springs over the weekend and had an absolutely amazing experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredible. I had my elderly mum with me, and they went above and beyond to help make our visit comfortable and stress-free. They kindly allowed us to bring our vehicle right down to reception, which made things so much easier for Mum. When it was time to leave, they also provided a wheelchair to help get her back up to the car. Their kindness and willingness to assist really stood out and made us feel so well looked after. The facilities themselves were fantastic. Everything was clean, tidy, and very well maintained, which made it easy to relax and enjoy the day. The mineral pools were beautiful and incredibly relaxing — the perfect place to unwind. My daughter absolutely loved the kids’ waterpark. She had so much fun exploring the slides and water features and didn’t want to leave. It was wonderful to see her enjoying herself so much while we could also take some time to relax in the pools. Overall, it was a fantastic day out for our whole family. The combination of friendly, helpful staff, clean and well-kept facilities, and great pools made it a truly memorable experience. Thank you to the team for such a wonderful day. We’ll definitely be back again!

LOVE THE PLACE!
My family visited when I was a kid – 1960? Maybe – I visit again as a teenager in 1972. I’ve come back every 10 years or so to visit Taupo, and my favourite holiday spot is still De Brett’s. Sparkling from a recent upgrade, great customer service and blissful hot water. Still SO GOOD at 72. (Didn’t try the new water slide though :-( Next time!)

The worst hot spring
water is so dirty. It can't be describe just dirt. After we have been there, my son got eye infection. My daughter got bad skin trouble, Atopy. I got lots of pimple on my face. Literally, it was worst.

Hi Kelly. We are sorry that you felt this way. Our pools are actually drained, cleaned, and refilled every night, so this should never be an issue.
