Amazing experience

Easy walk with so many fascinating things to see. Incrediable colours from volcanic action. Pamphlet had lots of interesting facts. Although there is plenty of time given to walk the track we had to hurry up to catch the boat as we stopped so often along the way. Skipper on the boat gave us lots of interesting information. We would definitely recomend going there

Ms

Both my daughter and I absolutely loved the Waimangu Volcanic Valley walk and boat cruise. Stunning nature with all the volcanic activities so close to us. We loved the boat cruise too. Big thumbs up for the captain of the boat. He explained everything in such a good way with the kindest and caring voice. We'll definitely be back doing it all again one day. Kindest regards, Hope & Ingrid ?

Stressful experience...

My son was very scared 14 years old btw and was going to ask the skipper some questions but the skipper spoke like a recorded information and did not give us the opening to ask questions. It should be made very obvious in the write up what we are on and near for the experience. Also it didn't help being told about a alarm to listen out for, and escape bus on the way. I rang twice before the visit and the walk up the top wasn't mentioned re timing and these other things, Then had to rush which cause more stress. Would not of been good for my son to wait another hour, he was ok at the start but all the things I mentioned along the way increased the fear. If we had more information beforehand we would of had a safe space to consider what options to take, and fully informed before booking. After white island occurance more care should be taken , on fully informing and giving a chance for questions before we book and before we start out for the walk and on the cruise. This ruined our wellbeing break and now feel more stressed then when we arrived. On the whole more transparent communication would of insured it was a enjoyable experience rather than the stressful one we had

Great visit

Great work and interesting boat trip. It was raining a lot and that did detract from the experience but nothing anyone can do about the weather.
