Manage Bookings

Want to review your flight details or make changes to your booking?

If you're an Airpoints™ member, with myairnz you can now see all your flight bookings in one place. Simply login to myairnz and choose My Flight Bookings under myBookings. If you haven't yet registered with myairnz (or previously with My Account) register now.

If you are not an Airpoints member you can retrieve a booking to view and manage your itinerary online if the booking was made with Air New Zealand through our website, over the telephone or in one of our Holidays Stores.

Whichever way you retrieve your booking, you will see range of options depending on the booking type. These may include requesting a copy of your electronic ticket, requesting seats, changing your booking and cancelling your booking. Details of which booking types can be changed and cancelled are below.

Please note - not all bookings are able to be accessed online.

Changing a booking

You are able to change the dates of your domestic booking online. You will need to pay any fare difference via credit card which will be subject to a credit card fee.

You are not able to request a change of domestic product online, this must be done through our contact centre on 0800 737 000 (service fees will apply).

Domestic bookings containing a mix of grabaseatTM and grabaseatTM + bag fares cannot currently be changed online. These bookings can only be changed by calling our contact centre on 0800 737 000 (service fees will apply).

However please note domestic Multistop or Starfish bookings can only be changed by calling our contact centre on 0800 737 000 (service fees will be waived).

Domestic grabaseat™ fares and Smart Saver fares may be changed up to the day before travel. Changes to grabaseat™ fares and Smart Saver fares will be subject to a $50 change fee per person, per ticket plus any fare difference.

Domestic Flexi Plus fares may be changed at any time.  Changes to Flexi Plus fares made at the Airport on the day of departure to an earlier or later flight that day are exempt from any fare difference and service fee.  All other changes to Flexi Plus bookings are subject to payment of any fare difference plus any applicable service fee.  Changes must apply to all passengers in the booking and are subject to availability. 

International bookings can be changed by calling our contact centre on 0800 737 000, service fees will apply.

Cancelling a booking

Bookings for domestic and international travel may be cancelled online, subject to the following considerations:

  • Flexi fares and Business (except Business Saver) fares may be cancelled up until departure
  • Pacific Flexi fares for travel between 10 December and 15 January cannot be cancelled online
  • A booking must be cancelled in full, i.e. both the outbound and return flights if a round trip

When cancelling online, a refund will be credited to the original form of payment you used to make the booking. For further assistance, please call us on 0800 737 000.
