Air New Zealand's 85th Birthday Terms and Conditions - NZ Promotion

  1. Information on how to enter the promotion forms part of the conditions of entry. Entry into the promotion is deemed as acceptance of its terms and conditions.

  2. Entry is only open to New Zealand residents. For anyone residing outside of New Zealand that has a loved one turning 85 in New Zealand this year, the New Zealand resident living in New Zealand must complete the entry form.

  3. Conditions of Entry and How to Enter:
    Participants must visit www.airnewzealand.co.nz/85years and complete details in the online entry form telling us who they want to travel to celebrate with for the 85th birthday, where they want to travel to and describe what it would mean to them to have this experience. Eligible participants must include a New Zealand resident who is turning 85 in 2025, or a New Zealand resident who is entering on behalf of someone turning 85 in 2025 who they want to celebrate with.

  4. Participation in the Promotion is limited to one entry per person.

  5. Air New Zealand (the "Promoter") employees and their immediate families, participating agents and their associated agencies are ineligible to enter. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries.

  6. Promotion commences 30 April 2025 at 5am and closes 15 May 2025 at 11.59pm (the "Promotional Period"). Entries received after this closing time will be ineligible for entry.

  7. The winner of the Promotion will be selected on 17 May 2025, by an independent panel of judges and the judge(s)'s decision is final. Attempts will be made to notify the winners by email and phone at the email address and contact number provided on the promotion entry. If the Promoter, having used reasonable efforts, is unable to contact the winner prior to 22 May 2025 at 5pm, then the prize is forfeited and an alternative winner will be selected by the judge(s). The Promoter's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

  8. The winners will win one of the 10 prizes of:
    A) 1x $5000 Air New Zealand Travel Card (7 total winners)
    B) Return trip for 2 from North America or Asia to NZ
    C) Return trip for 2 from Australia or the Pacific Islands to NZ
    D) Return trip for 2 within New Zealand

    Flights will be on the Air New Zealand network only, excludes codeshare flights. For prizes B, C and D flights are Economy class only and not during peak travel periods.

    The winner is responsible for paying all additional costs associated with the prize that are not specifically included (as stated in this clause 8), including (where applicable) transport, accommodation, meal costs, spending money, insurance and all other incidentals.

  9. Prize must be taken by 30 April 2027 and is subject to booking and flight availability.

  10. The prize cannot be converted into cash and is not transferable.

  11. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in prize value.

  12. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize in whole (or any of its components), with a substitute prize of equal or greater value.

  13. All prize travel will be subject to Air New Zealand's Conditions of Carriage, to view visit www.airnewzealand.co.nz/conditions-of-carriage. Prize travel will not be eligible to accrue Airpoints Dollars™ or Status Points and cannot be used in conjunction with Air New Zealand's Airpoints™ Programme or any other carriers' frequent flyer schemes.

  14. The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to or alteration of entries. The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any injury or damage to participants or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation in or downloading any materials in this promotion.

  15. Neither the Promoter nor any other person or party associated with this promotion shall be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with either participation in this promotion or with any prizes offered.

  16. The Promoter collects entrants' personal information in order to conduct the promotion. If the information requested is not provided, the entrant may not participate in the promotion. Acceptance of the prize is deemed consent for the Promoter to use the winner's details and photographs for promotional and media purposes without any further reference, payment or other compensation to the entrant. Please refer to Air New Zealand's Privacy Statement at www.airnewzealand.co.nz/privacy regarding the collection, use, disclosure and storage of personal information. If the entrant is someone entering on behalf of someone turning 85 in 2025, we will get consent from them as well before using any details for media purposes.
