Awesome experience!
Me and my partner were stoked with our two hour surf lesson in Te Arai over the Easter weekend. We thoroughly enjoyed it! Definitely makes us both want to get into surfing now. Awesome instructor, the weather put on a show for us and the way we were taught was super fun and easy to follow. Thank you, we will be back! :-D

Excellent experience
A fantastic experience all round. There's a great little shop where you can buy anything surf related either as a souvenir, or to help you get started in surfing. Everyone is very friendly, and the instructor takes turns working one on one with people in the water to help correct their form. It was my first time surfing, and ill absolutely be doing more of it in the future.

Surfing in questionable weather ?
Weather was windy and waves were patchy and inconsistent. Instructors did their best with a big group. Might want another lesson to go surfing again hopefully with less people next time.

Hi Kevin Thanks for your review We have no more than 1 coach to 6 surfers, most of the time 1 coach to 4 or 5 surfers.. We run rain or shine, just not lightning, tsunamis or cyclones.. May I suggest a private lesson next time. Thank you for your review Che GM

The best surf lesson in NZ
These guys are amazing. I've been to 2 other surf schools and they were nothing like this lesson. Passionate instructors, clear explained instructions. They really coach you through each wave. I didn't even stand up at the other companies. Te Arai is amazing surf beach. Thank you Aotearoa Surf I'm coming next weekend to do it again.
