The presenter tried to quiet the front of the audience, but it was unsuccessful after successful attempts. To be honest, I'm not sure what could have been done differently other than being more direct with where the noise was actually coming from and maybe asking for further support from the parents / chaperones to help support their tamariki. My four year old was really engaged and quiet himself, and I wanted him to take in that information at the start. There were even other audience members saying "shhhh" to encourage less talking in the front of the theatre. I feel that this took away from my experience at the observatory, and I would think twice about booking again.
