Experience the Penguin Parade on Phillip Island with a later departure from Melbourne on Go West Tours' Penguin Express.
Planning a night out or a lazy morning in Melbourne but don't want to miss the Penguin Parade on Phillip Island? We've got the perfect tour for you!
We'll pick you up at at a reasonable departure time from Melbourne and head straight to Phillip Island.
Once we're on the island, our first stops are Seal Rocks and the Nobbies Centre. You can stroll along the boardwalk and take in the stunning views of the Mornington Peninsula from the western tip of Phillip Island. And if you're lucky, you might catch a glimpse of the adorable Little Penguins hiding under the boardwalks or poking their heads out of burrows, waiting for their friends to return from the ocean.
Just before sunset, we'll head over to the Penguin Parade. We'll grab spots on the beach to watch the hundreds of Little Penguins make their way across the sand and back to their burrows in the sand dunes. You'll see them reunite with their partners, give cute kisses, do a little dance, and waddle into their burrows.
Our tour is designed for small groups no larger than 24, so you'll have plenty of chances to explore nature at its best. Our friendly guides will help you create memories that will last a lifetime.
Please note: the time that the penguins arrive on the beach changes throughout the year, so our return time to Melbourne also varies.
Below are the approximate times the tour returns to Melbourne:
Nov – Feb: midnight
March: 11:00 PM
April: 10:00 PM
May – Aug: 9:00 PM
September: 9:30 PM
October: 10:30 PM
