Frequently Asked Questions

Koru Corporate 2022

Why did I receive this email?

You are currently linked to a Koru Corporate Account in our system. This may have been because you currently (or previously) worked for an organisation that we offered Koru Corporate benefits and membership rates/fees to.

Why do I need to be linked to my organisation's Koru Corporate Account?

To access the great range of Koru Corporate benefits offered to eligible organisations, you need to be linked to an organisation's Koru Corporate Account.

What happens if I don't opt-out from a Koru Corporate account?

Air New Zealand will keep you linked to the Koru Corporate account that you are linked to. By remaining linked, you are also confirming that you are still employed by the organisation/entity that holds the Koru Corporate Account that you are linked to.

Air New Zealand reserves the right to terminate, cancel or suspend eligibility or Koru memberships if a purchase is made by you or your organisation/entity, that you are not eligible for.

What happens if I opt-out and get removed from a Koru Corporate account?

Air New Zealand will remove you from the Koru Corporate account that you are linked to by 22 July 2022.

What will happen to my Koru membership if I am removed from a Koru Corporate Account?

Your Koru membership is not impacted and will continue to be valid through to the same expiry date. Your Koru benefits also remain the same.

I no longer work for the organisation that I am linked to, what should I do?

Koru Corporate benefits are offered to current employees of the organisation that holds the Koru Corporate Account. You need to 'opt-out' from the Koru Corporate Account before 20 July 2022 by clicking the opt-out button in the email sent to you on 6 July 2022. Air New Zealand will then remove you from the Koru Corporate Account that you are linked to by 22 July 2022.

Air New Zealand reserves the right to terminate, cancel or suspend eligibility or Koru memberships if a purchase is made by you or your organisation/entity, that you are not eligible for.

How was my information shared/accessed by my organisation before this change?

Air New Zealand sent 'renewal reminder' letters via mail to your organisation within one month of your Koru membership expiry date. Air New Zealand also sent emails (if requested by your organisation) with the necessary information for your organisation to administer your Koru membership.

In future, organisations with a Koru Corporate account will always have access to information about you, for as long as you remain linked to the Koru Corporate Account.

What information will be shared with my organisation?

The changes we're making will mean that this information will always be visible to the organisation for any linked member:

- Airpoints Number

- Name

- Koru status (Expired, Expiring, Current Koru member)

- Koru membership expiry date

- Tier benefits indicator (a tick will show if tier benefits already apply and a Koru membership purchase is not required)

- Role that you hold as a member linked to the Koru Corporate Account (Primary Account Holder, Employee, Administrator)

What if I do not want my details shared with my organisation / How do I opt-out?

You can be removed from the Koru Corporate Account by clicking the 'opt-out' button in the email sent to you on 6 July 2022. Air New Zealand will remove you from the Koru Corporate account that you are linked to by 22 July 2022.

In future, to be eligible for Koru Corporate benefits and membership rates/fees, you will need to be linked to an organisation's Koru Corporate Account and accept the Koru programme terms and conditions.

When do I need to opt-out by?

Opt-out responses are required by 20 July 2022.

If I choose to opt-out and get removed from the Koru Corporate Account, can I be added back to a Koru Corporate account in future?

Yes, this does not prevent you from being added or re-added to a Koru Corporate Account. Upon being linked to a Koru Corporate Account in future, you will just need to accept the invitation and agree to the Koru terms and conditions before you get linked.

How can I be removed from a Koru Corporate Account in future?

With the introduction of our new, easy to navigate Koru member portal, organisations with a Koru Corporate Account will have increased options to self-serve and manage members linked to the account. This means that an authorised 'Administrator' will have the ability to add or remove any member from the 'Member List'. Alternatively, the Koru contact centre can also assist with this request.

What improvements are you making to the Koru Corporate experience?

The exciting changes we're making to the way we support our Koru Corporate Programme, will include the introduction of a new, easy to navigate dashboard with increased self-serve options and greater visibility of membership information. The improvements will enable self-service functionality for organisations to:

- Invite and remove employees

- Assign administrators to help manage the account

- Purchase Koru Corporate memberships on behalf of employees (employees will still have the ability to do this themselves as well)

- Update company details

The new Koru Corporate experience embraces modern technology, which allows members to self-serve with ease and will enable us to improve your experience over time.
