Access is also available at some partner airline lounges at selected overseas airports prior to departure on Air New Zealand flights. Find out which lounges Koru members can access here.
Baggage Allowance
To make your journey as fast and hassle-free as possible, your baggage will recieve priority service wherever possible. Fast Bag is also available for single sector or point to point regional domestic flights.
For all Air New Zealand flights booked after 26 May 2010, Koru members receive one extra piece of checked luggage on top of the standard baggage allowances, up to a maximum of three pieces. Baggage allowances vary depending on where you area travelling – to confirm your exact baggage allowance, please check here.
Please note that on flights to Tahiti, Koru members do not receive any additional baggage allowance.
Seat only fares on Trans-Tasman routes do not include a baggage allowance, so charges apply to all checked luggage on when booked on these fares.
Guest Passes
As a Koru member you will receive ten complimentary Guest Passes each membership year. Guest Passes and Annual Guest Cards may be used at our domestic Koru lounges in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin. A maximum of three guests may accompany you to these Lounges at any one time, subject to space availability. All guests need to be travelling on an Air New Zealand ticketed and operated flight that day.
Guest Passes can also be used at international lounges, owned and operated by Air New Zealand. In these lounges, only one guest can join you and entry is on a space available basis.
Annual Guest Cards - with an Annual Guest Card you can have a guest join you in the Koru lounge as many times as you like during your membership year. Again, they just need to be travelling on an Air New Zealand ticketed and operated flight later that day. Annual Guest Cards can be purchased through the Koru Contact Centre.
Priority Check-in
As a Koru member, you have access to dedicated check-in counters in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin airports, as well as Business Class check-in facilities when travelling on Air New Zealand operated flights from any other airport.
If you're flying domestically in New Zealand with carry-on luggage only, you can check-in directly at our lounges in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin and Queenstown airports.
As a Koru member, you'll receive your personal ePass which identifies you at our self-service check-in kiosks and boarding gates when you're travelling on domestic flights.
When travelling on single sector regional flights within New Zealand operated by Air New Zealand Link, Koru members may use Fast Bag to speed up their journey.
