Using Airpoints Dollars for flights
See New Zealand and the world with your Airpoints Dollars™ when you fly with Air New Zealand, the Star Alliance or one of our partner airlines.
- You can use your Airpoints Dollars to book a flight. Paying for a flight with Airpoints Dollars is easy because one Airpoints Dollar is equal to one New Zealand Dollar. Check how many Airpoints Dollars you'll need for your flight.
- If you don't have enough Airpoints Dollars, you can pay for your flight with a mix of Airpoints Dollars and cash using Airpoints Flexipay.
When paying for a flight with your Airpoints Dollars™, any associated airport or government costs are payable by credit card, OneSmart card or POLi.
How to book
Book online
You can use your Airpoints Dollars to pay for any Air New Zealand flight and many flights operated by Star Alliance or our other partner airlines, when booked online as part of your Air New Zealand booking.
Simply sign in to your online account with your Airpoints™ details before or while you are booking your flight and select to pay with Airpoints Dollars at the payment stage. Book now

Alternatively, Airpoints members can also book through the partner airlines online portal for flights operated by our partner airlines.

Seating product purchases
Airpoints members can use their Airpoints Dollars to purchase seating products, such as Economy Skycouch™ and Economy Stretch. You can book seating products as an option during the booking flow.
