Spending Airpoints on flights

 Sign in to your Koru account before you start your flight booking and select pay with Airpoints at the payment stage to use your Airpoints for Air New Zealand flights and flights operated by Star Alliance member airlines or partner airlines as part of your Air New Zealand booking. 

You can combine Airpoints and cash with Airpoints Flexipay if you don’t have enough Airpoints to cover the full flight cost. Any associated airport or government costs can be paid by credit card, OneSmart ™ card, or POLi. 

You can also use your Airpoints for seats, such as Economy Skycouch or Economy Stretch and extra bags. When you fly internationally with Air New Zealand, you can use your Airpoints onboard to purchase a curated selection of beverages, including our wine offering. 

Book a flight with Airpoints 

Sometimes the best gifts are experiences. With your Airpoints, you can book an Air New Zealand flight for someone in your household and give them something truly unforgettable. Airpoints Flexipay is available if you don’t have enough Airpoints to cover the full fare. 

Before you book, you’ll need to add each person to your gifting register. If your giftee isn’t a Koru member, tell them to join Koru for free, or contact us to add them for an NZD $25 or 25 service fee. 

If you’re Koru Gold, Koru Platinum, Koru Black, or a Westpac Airpoints credit card holder, you can also gift Air New Zealand flights to a limited number of friends and family outside your household.
