Changes to the Kiwibank Airpoints™ credit card programme

Last updated on 1 November 2025

The Kiwibank Airpoints credit card programme and all benefits associated with your Kiwibank Airpoints card has ended on the 31st of October 2025. The non-expiry benefit for previously earned Airpoints Dollars has been extended to 28th Feb 2026. To keep earning Airpoints Dollars and prevent them from expiring, we recommend switching to another Airpoints earning credit card. This will allow you to continue to earn Airpoints Dollars, Status Points and enjoy associated benefits

What does this mean for my Airpoints Dollars™, Status Points, and other benefits?

Airpoints expiry

Accumulated Airpoints Dollars

Accumulated Status Points

Airpoints Dollar Advance

The Airpoints Dollar Advance feature has ended. As a result, the 200 APD Advance for the Airpoints Platinum card and 100 APD Advance for Low Fee card members has been removed from your Airpoints available balance.

If you had used your Airpoints Advance, you'll have 12 months to earn it back through flights or via another Airpoints earning credit card or Airpoints partners. Any new Airpoints Dollars you earn will first go towards repaying your Advance, before adding to your available balance.
