You can choose Economy, Premium Economy Business Class or Business Premier, with the option of low Smart Saver fares or fully refundable Flexi fares. All our fares are one-way rather than return, with no additional one-way surcharge. This gives you the freedom to book different fares for each direction of your journey.
Take a moment to check the fare conditions below, so you can choose the booking flexibility, baggage allowance and comfort options you need. When you book online with us, a link in the ‘view details’ section will show the relevant fare conditions before you complete your booking.
If you only book one direction of your journey, be aware that some countries can have stricter entry requirements if you arrive without a booked return flight.
All our long-haul fares are eligible for Airpoints Dollars™ and Status Points, unless booked in N or F class (Grabaseat Greenlight fares) or purchased with Airpoints Dollars or Fly Buys. Each fare has a different earning rate. For details see our Airpoints™ calculator.
Business Class and Business Premier fares are eligible for Airpoints Companion tickets on Air New Zealand operated flights, unless Companion tickets are purchased with Airpoints Dollars. Economy and Premium Economy fares may also be eligible, contact us to find out.
To book a Global Flexi fare online, simply select the option to make your flights flexible from the list of extras. Long-haul Business Premier or Business Class fares are already Global Flexi fares.

Both Global Saver and Global Flexi fares allow date changes and rerouting right up until departure. You’ll have to pay any fare difference. If you’re not making the change online, a service fee of NZ$60 per change per seat applies for changes made from within New Zealand, otherwise the service fee of the country you’re calling from will apply.
For Global Saver fares there’s also a booking change fee of NZ$50 per person (infants excluded). There’s no booking change fee for Global Flexi fares.
If you don’t show up in time for your flight, with a Global Saver fare the one-way fare will be cancelled with no refund. With a Global Flexi fare however, you can change the booking following a no show, subject to a NZ$300 change fee.
